Communication is important in painting and my gauge of success is the sensual response of the viewer. There is a symbolic value behind every real and surreal elements, their colours and shapes. It is through the power of those images, as a dynamic tool, I ultimately aspire to affect in a positive way the emotional state of the viewer.

I want to create a painting which when touched by the light produces an ambient music, filling the air with calm and a sense of plenitude. My work therefore goes beyond being simply decorative; it interacts in a living way with its environment.

The arrangement of the elements is structured to aspire towards a perfect composition according to the Golden Rule, harmony, unity and dynamic rhythm. Thus the recreated landscape becomes a magical scene, which goes beyond the natural reality. It becomes more like a musical composition for the eyes that proposes an emotional journey of colours, shaped to fulfil the search for beauty and the divine, which is common to all of us.
